Cheesy Green Garden Pizza

In this recipe, Swiss chard, together with the broccoli is first cooked with some water to reduce its concentration of oxalic acid before it is topped over the pizza and baked in the oven.

Ingredients

200 Gms pizza dough (you can also use pre made pizza base)
100gms broccoli well chopped
1/3 cup water
10 cups Swiss chard
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
3/4 cup pesto, prepared
1 cup low fat cheddar cheese

Preparation Instructions

On a smooth surface, roll the dough to about the size of a medium pizza. Place the dough in a pizza pan.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, cook the broccoli with the water on a medium flame until tender. To this, add the Swiss chard. Keep stirring until cooked. Add salt and pepper, to taste.

On the crust, evenly spread the pesto and top it with the prepared broccoli mixture. Spread some cheese over this.

Bake the pizza in a preheated 500 degrees F oven until it's crispy and golden, about 10 to 12 minutes. The cheese should melt slightly.
